Conservation and Care
Store your Lunatique on a clean, flat surface away from heat sources and sunlight to prevent the color from varying or fading by placing it inside its Lunatique box.
To maintain the initial shape of your Lunatique, fill it with tissue paper and wrap the crown in paper during storage and/or transportation.
Do not transport hats in a suitcase full of other clothes and do not crush them during transport.
Direct contact with water may cause deformation of the shape and oxidation of embellishments and metal finishes. Prolonged exposure to a high humidity environment may cause deformation of the shape and brim of felt hats. Do not wear your Lunatique while swimming or in the rain and do not wear it on wet hair.
In case your Lunatique gets wet, let it dry naturally with the crown and brim in their original shape.
Dust can be removed with a dry cloth or a soft bristle brush. Do not use soap, oils, abrasive cleaners, furniture polish, paint or ammonia to clean headwear and accessories.
If you own more than 1 Lunatique, you can purchase a hat box that can hold up to 4 Lunatiques.
Inside it, to maintain the initial shape of your Lunatique, wrap the crown (so between one hat and the other) with tissue paper.
Use a dry cleaning service to remove stubborn stains. After prolonged exposure to the sun, a straw hat may change shade and become darker. Straw and sisal are natural materials, so a slight change in color should not be considered a defect.
Hats with metal decorations should not be in contact with salt air, water, chlorine, cosmetics and strong chemicals. Avoid such substances to prevent oxidation as much as possible.
Flat caps and baseballs have solid brims that can change shape or break due to improper storage or transportation. Please use the Lunatique box for transportation or simply wear your Lunatique when traveling to preserve its original shape.
